The Scientific Education and Research Institute is an innovative medical education facility located near Denver, Colorado. We are located thirty minutes from the airport and less than fiteen minutes from Downtown. SERI is dedicated to hosting medical programs and training courses where companies can introduce the latest techniques and technologies to its course participants. We are proud to have hosted courses covering a wide gamut of medical specialties including spine care, sinuplasty, total ankle replacement, distal humerus plate insertion, femur reaming, pain management, and much more. Through didactic presentations, live interactive surgeries, hands-on cadaveric dissection workshops in our BioSkills Laboratory, and case presentations, in our Amphitheater, course participants explore the latest technological advances in modern day medicine. From a course with as few as 5 participants to a course with over 100 participants, the SERI is ready to host your next course.
DENVER SURGEON, MICHAEL E. JANSSEN, D.O., PERFORMS FIRST CERVICAL DISC REPLACEMENT SURGERY WITH PRODISC-C.
The Spine Education and Research Institute in North Denver, Colorado, has been conducting research on the most advanced technology for preserving motion of the cervical spine for the past five years. After extensive clinical research, the Cervical Total Disc Replacement (ProDisc-C) is now FDA-approved. Surgeons from around the world will be traveling to work with Michael E. Janssen, D.O. at the Musculoskeletal Learning Center for training and certification on the Cervical Disc Replacement Technology.
On January 16, 2008, Michael E. Janssen, D.O., became the first physician in the United States to perfrom two cervical disc arthroplasties using the latest FDA-approved cervical technology, the ProDisc-C Total Disc Replacement System. The ProDisc-C Total Disc Replacement is intended to significantly reduce pain caused by cervical disc degeneration. This is done by allowing for removal of the diseased disc while restoring the disc height and providing motion at the affected vertebrae.
